Ed Hanson

Edward Hanson has been involved in Private Equity and Real Estate for the last 20 years.

Edward is a non-executive director of Southern Right Capital UK, Ltd and is also a director of Corviglia Capital Limited which funds joint ventures with property developers.

Edward started his career investment banking with Babcock & Brown in London in 1997. He helped set up its European Real Estate business and then raised the group’s first Private Equity fund. He was the CEO of the fund and Babcock & Brown Investment Management Limited – the UK regulated funds management entity.

In 2009 Edward and a partner separated the General Partner of the fund from Babcock & Brown. The fund was renamed Global Partners Fund and since then Edward has continued to make new investments with a small number of the original investors.

In 2020 Edward relocated back to New Zealand and will be splitting his time between Auckland and Sydney.
