Peter Orlov
Peter is General Counsel at Southern Right Capital. He joined Southern Right Capital in 2024 from Sprints, a European growth technology investment firm, where he was also General Counsel and similarly oversaw all aspects of legal and compliance.
Peter has over 18 years of private fundraising and deal expertise across all aspects and strategies of private investment management. He began his career at Freshfields, a Magic Circle firm, and then spent a decade working at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
He has also spent significant time seconded to BlackRock’s “fund-of-funds and co- investments” business in London and Zurich where he worked on structuring, fund-raising, fund investments and direct deals.
Outside of corporate life, he is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Buttle UK, the UK’s largest direct-grant charity for children and young people with a £60m+ endowment (which Peter helps oversee).
He holds a degree in Philosophy and Psychology from Oxford University.
